Songs about eating people! Dancing on graves! Infidelity!
Manchester’s finest folk-hop & barrelhouse-pop exponents have the skill, charm and tunes to pull it all together into a joyful, foot-banging sound.
Evoking the afro-funk of Mulatu Atstake, the exuberant folk of Flook, and the blues of Junior Wells without ever sounding contrived or unoriginal, Honeyfeet have in Ríoghnach Connolly one of the most striking frontwomen on the scene at the moment (‘a remarkable singer and flautist who…can ease from Irish traditional influences to soul’ – the Guardian).
Honeyfeet released the album It’s a Good Job I Love You in November 2013. Their next, as yet untitled album, will be released in winter 2016.
