A welcome return to Oxford for one of the UK's finest improvisers. Jonathan is best known for his trio work - currently, he continues to work the trio seam with his longstanding partners, Steve Rose and Winston Clifford, but more recently has been touring Italy with Danilo Gallo and Alessandro Minetti whose take on the piano trio is equally compelling.

Jonathan has performed in 18 countries around the world including Finland, Sweden, Spain and Italy. His trio has toured Azerbaijan, Israel, Cameroon, Singapore and performed in Nicosia with the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra. Most recently, Jonathan has started forming musical ties abroad ~ in Italy touring and recording with Danilo Gallo and Alessandro Minetto, and now with Joseph Lepore and Enzo Zirillia, as well as saxist Tommaso Starace. In France with the Didier Conchon/Ramon Layzelles Quintet featuring Wayne Dockery on bass and Antoine Banville on drums ~ the trio's first album is due out soon. In Finland with trumpeter/producer Mika Myllari ~ the Northern Star People project album is due for release in November ~ and as resident trio at the Helsinki Jazz Festival.
