dancetillyoudie presents some storming ska-punk loveliness and wonky-pop goodness from:
Walk.DontWalk (www.myspace.com/walkdontwalkuk)
Finalists in this year's Road to V competition, Slice the Pie album winners, and one of Birmingham's finest exports. Having been hand-picked to support the likes of the Young Knives, The Paddingtons, and Vincent Vincent and the Villians, Walk.DontWalk head to dtyd for what promises to be an absolutely barnstorming headline set. "a girl-flinging, dress-removing, mate-piggybacking, TV camera-grabbing frenzy. A turbo-charged Coral anyone?" (Mark Beaumont, NME)
So Cow (www.myspace.com/socow)
How to describe So Cow? The Indie Hour says "a late 50s American garage rock artist trapped in the body of a thoughtful Galway man with access to some modern but basic electronic software ". We say bloody marvelous wonk-indie-pop from this highly rated Irish lad. He's in London for a select few dates fresh from tour support with the mighty Maximo Park, and we nabbed him!
Vaults (www.myspace.com/vaultsuk)
Cracking indie in a Bloc Party vein from this up-and-coming London quartet, who have previously shared stages with the likes of Hot Chip and Die!Die!Die!
Stick Man Army (www.myspace.com/stickmanarmy)
Perfectly formed ska-punk from these London-based scamps.
after the bands, the dancetillyoudie DJs hit it up reet nice with indie/rock/alternative/breaks/beats/odd-pop/electro and prettymuchanythingelseyoufancy until the wee small hours.
Doors 8pm
