Inspired by bands like Deftones, L7, Hole, Incubus, Placebo and the alternative scene, The Kut are three ladies, delivering the sort of pent up rock n roll that helped Nirvana take over the world in the 90s. Their 'Rock Paper Scissors' EP is an extraordinary follow up to 2014's 'Make Up' EP, also produced by James LeRock Loughrey (Skindred, White Zombie, Def Leppard). Lead vocalist Maha postulated that Rock Paper Scissors "probably has the closest resemblance to the material we've been playing out on the live sets this last year." Boy does it show, this is rip-roaring live sounding female angst at a time when it feels particularly relevant. The live set is just as potent, with the band announced as one of the best acts to play the 'Dog's Bed Stage' at Download Festival this year, following a public vote.
