Shilpa Ray - fiery blues-punk future-icon - stops over in London for one night only ahead of a festival set in the depths of Somerset. We're ecstatic to be the ones hosting her dark rock sound.
Shilpa and her band have been making waves for a few years in their native New York. Championed by Nick Cave, the release of debut album 'Last Year's Savage' marked her out as an act to pay close attention to.
We've got support from Black Pope, who take The Sonics' brand of garage rock'n'roll and throw it under the bus, or the hearse, or something like that. Opening the night is Katie Mac, bringing a big, dark alt-rock brooding of her own to the whole affair. Both acts are excellent, and worth catching in their own right.
So yeah. Come on down. We're only charging £7 on the door, which is a ridiculously good deal for music this good. Chucking a couple of support acts at you, too. The place sells ace craft beer and some fairly hard-hitting cider to boot. No excuses, right?
