Dulwich Opera Company presents a semi-staged concert performance of Mozart's classic opera, Don Giovanni. Featuring some of Mozart’s greatest music, the opera will be performed in the original Italian with English surtitles, with an exciting cast of eight young professional singers. They will be directed from the piano by internationally renowned conductor, Jeremy Silver.
Premièred in 1787, Mozart's Don Giovanni remains one of the most loved and performed of all operas around the world. Based on the legends of Don Juan, it recounts the dramatic downfall of the serial seducer, Don Giovanni.
Dulwich Opera Company was established in 2015 to promote opera as an exciting and accessible artform, and to provide opportunities for professional opera singers at the start of their careers by presenting high quality performances of opera. Its first full production was Puccini's La bohème, in 2015. It recently presented a new production of Mozart's Così fan tutte.
