Classic acoustic vocal jazz, latin and contemporary songs featuring the velvety tones of vocalist Francesca Pichel, a true star in the making, think Nora Jones, Sade and Amy Winehouse combined. Pichel has worked with Grammy Award winning artist African artist Youssou N'Dour and is making a name for herself as a solo artist in London.
This quintet has a big & warm acoustic jazz sound centred around the guitars of Pichel and Oriole/F-ire Collective Spanish guitarist Jonny Phillips. Augmented by rising star of the saxophone Alam Nathoo and a top notch rhythm section. You can expect new music written by Pichel and Phillips with reworking of well loved classics. Those who heard Phillips’ work with vocalist Julia Biel and Oriole may a have an idea of what to expect.
