Event information

Hatful of Rain's music is influenced by bluegrass and old time Americana but is undeniably British. The accomplished four piece has been praised by folk supremos Bob Harris and Mike Harding and performs moving and exhilarating original and traditional music on fiddle, guitar, mandolin, double bass and banjo. Their mellow acoustic sound is completed by the delightful lead vocals of singer and chief songwriter Chloe Overton, and there's also some fine harmony singing on display. This classy modern folk quartet has released two full length albums of mostly original material and a recent 5-track EP of traditional songs. This is the first visit to Sheffield for the Brighton-based band.
