Cambridge International Jazz Festival Headliner
Soweto Kinch saxes, Nick Jurd d.bass, Ed Richardson drums
Soweto begins a weekend of gigs and workshops at the festival with a preview of his new work Nonagram. Based around the nine-sided wheel (nonagon) it describes how concepts such as shifting time signatures, harmony and tonality give form to ideas that can’t be seen in the natural world.
