In a world where a virus named 'The Strain' is wiping out the human race, the military are tasked with containing it and taking out anyone who is infected. Gangs are rife, a revolutionary group are hard at work and the Black Market is taking advantage of the government rationing of supplies. Amongst all this, are Ryder and Blake, living, surviving on the rations and occasional black market suppliment. Poor living conditions, fear of illness, fear of bullets, fear of the army and fear of boredom rule an existence where they only have each other...until Jen arrives...
