Bouche's dark, hypnotic and deeply emotive songs emanate from the slow and steady groove of Rebekah Bouche's double bass, the shimmering swagger of Nikos Ziarkas's electric guitar, and the smoky jazz weaving of Joe Sharp's trumpet. Their songs saunter from late night barstool confessionals through angular psychedelia to soaring cinematic soundscapes,. These blue-jazz hymnals combine the honesty and rawness of the blues with melodic salutes to early jazz, all delivered with the immersive lyricism of Rebekah Bouche's sultry, subtly vulnerable vocal stylings.
Highlights of Bouche's 2016 include the release of their debut album, 'So Long Solemn', an extensive UK tour, and opening in London for the legendary Van Morrison.

Musician and poet Alabaster de Plume has toured internationally, engaging dozens of musicians, visual artists, performers and film-makers in a series of original projects around Europe and the UK. His recent residency in East London saw him working with a new ensemble of players each month, presenting instrumentals, songs and theatrical scripts that evolve, adapt and interact with the musicians, the audience and the occasion. A unique operformer, his warm presence, poet's eye for off-kilter observation, and musical prowess place him as a modern-day successor to the great Ivor Cutler.
