MikeCompton and Joe Newberry are two master practitioners of American roots music, specialising in early country music and blues, and their duet-singing, two-man string band ranges between traditional songs, instrumentals, ballads and original tunes. This is one of only a few opportunities to see them in the UK following their performances at Celtic Connections 2017 in Glasgow.
Steel City Opry are promoting this duo in the beautiful, intimate Heeley Institute. A great little venue accessible by bus, with good parking and facilities for disabled people. There is no bar, so BYO, or pop across to the pub for a carry out.
