Event information

After a cracking show for us at The Eagle back in May 2016, we are delighted to welcome back The Fallen Leaves for their first Manchester city centre show.

2016 also saw them perform a stellar session for Marc Riley (BBC 6 Music) and release their latest LP 'Punk Rock For Gentlemen'

The Fallen Leaves are:
Reverand Rob Green - Vocals with an English accent
Sir Robert Symmons - Sniper guitar
Matthew Karas - Bohemian bass
Brett Buddy Ascott - Dangerous drums

What do they sound like?
Punk / Mod / Garage / Beat
If you can imagine a cross between The Who and The Ramones you might get somewhere close....

'Simple songs for complex people'

What does the Manifesto say?
Punk Rock for Gentlemen.

No jeans.

No t-shirts.

No cover-versions.

The Fallen Leaves believe in the DIY Punk ethos.

Song, Sound and Performance are all.

Recordings are live, minimal overdubs.

As the self proclaimed champions of the glorious underachievers The Fallen Leaves ask you to remember ......

Simple and easy are not the same thing.

We are delighted to add SISTERAY to the bill.

SISTERAY came to prominence over the past 12 months with the stated aim of re-writing the indie guitar rule book. First and foremost, Niall, Dan, Mike and Marco are a band who come to life on stage, whether it is the #guerillagigs they organise, their own monthly club night Welcome To The Monkey House or festival appearances such as Isle Of Wight, Leeds Festival, Camden Rocks and others.

Phil Taggart described their song 'A Wise Man Said' as a "gnarly punk anthem" when he played it on Radio One, they have been playlisted on Radio X and featured artist on BBC Introducing.
They came together out of their shared passion for gigs and music and influenced by bands such as The Clash, The Smiths, Velvet Underground, The Libertines and Jamie T. This is proven in the upbeat melodies and lyrical observations of 21st century Britain in songs such as 'Gentrification' and 'Queens English', combined with high-octane live performances that have been key to making their live shows unmissable.

"Alt punk outfit, Sisteray are not so much 'emerging' as bursting out with tuneful attitude" The Zine
