Heading the night's music is guitarist Steve Ajao. Based in Birmingham, Steve cut his teeth at an early age in the band of his father, Bobby Ajao, playing soul, R&B and blues, and over the years Steve has established himself as a highly regarded blues guitarist in his own right. His band the Blues Giants were voted top band for 2016 by JazzLines. A versatile musician, Steve is also an accomplished saxophonist, having played at Ronnie Scott's, the Wag Club and Brighton's Concorde Club, as well as on international stages.
As Steve has said, "Music is a language - you should listen to it just like someone is talking to you."

Sharing the bill are pianists Mark Steeds and Freddie Pirotta. Well respected on the local scene, Mark has appeared in various musical contexts - rock, jazz-fusion, but mainly blues and boogie, in bands such as Pzazz, The Hangover Blues Band, Boperator and King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, and has performed at prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott's and the Montreux Jazz Festival. It will be interesting to contrast his style with that of Freddie, who has also played in a variety of settings, from solo piano to big bands, although his reputation has been largely as a first rate blues and boogie pianist who loves nothing better than to play live to an audience, capturing and channelling the spontaneous energy of the moment. Freddie has recently played with Birmingham's Chickenbone Blues Band and the legendary Wild Angels rock 'n' roll band with whom he has recently recorded in Switzerland and toured in France.
Also appearing will be Letitia George, a vibrant and soulful vocalist who is making a name for herself in and around Coventry and who became nationally recognised with her acclaimed appearance on TV's The Voice.
The proceedings will be pinned down by the SugarDaddies (Adrian Litvinoff bass; Steve Roberts gtr, harmonica, voc; Rich Westwood drums), the region's most experienced accompanists after years of hosting their popular Friday Night Blues Parties, this time augmented by saxophonist Dave Roberts.
