Event information

Nadine Khouri is a musician and songwriter currently based in London. Influenced by dream-pop, moody soundtracks and spoken-word, her sound has been described as a “music born of perennial outsider-status.”

Recorded live with legendary producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Giant Sand) at Toybox Studios in his hometown Bristol with a band assembled by Khouri, her album ‘The Salted Air’ is a haunting and atmospheric collection of poetic meditations on loss and transformation.

On Khouri's latest album 'The Salted Air':
"A thing of dark possessed beauty" - MOJO
"Perfumed traces of Galaxie 500, Mazzy Star, and Cocteau Twins" - UNCUT
"Lullabies and gothic shanties…delivered with elegance and beauty" - Drowned In Sound

Seamus Fogarty grew up in Co Mayo in the west of Ireland and spent his early years writing songs about mountains that steal t-shirts, women who look like dinosaurs and various other unfortunate incidents. Now based in London, he released his debut album 'God Damn You Mountain' on revered Scottish indie label Fence Records on 2012. Hailed by the Irish Times as "one of the best Irish albums of recent years", it was critically acclaimed on its release, leading to a slot on the main stage of The Green Man festival in Wales and extensive UK & European tours with the likes of James Yorkston, Pictish Trail and Malcolm Middleton (Arab Strap)

An EP, “Ducks & Drakes”, followed in 2015, this time on Lost Map Records. Gideon Coe from BBC6 Music proclaimed the title track to be "one of the songs of the summer" while Max Reinhart from BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction proclaimed it the work of an "Electroacoustic Wickerman". A new album is due out later this year.
