Since 2014 Stefanie Vincent has been Museum Collections Project Manager at Swindon Museum & Art Gallery. In her role she has undertaken a series of important HLF funded projects, which have enabled her to rediscover the fascinating collections stored by SM&AG.

In this exciting, interactive talk Stefanie will discuss the variety of collections she has worked on, and the process of caring for, documenting and interpreting them. These have included Swindon’s extensive local art, geology and social history collections (large and important projects for which dedicated volunteers have been recruited). Stef will also discuss the highs and lows of working with such a diverse range of collections, and the long-term plans for Swindon’s marvellous museum objects.
