Happy Christmas! Happy New Year! Happy Valentine's!
We're back after an ignominous end to "World's shittest year" TM and what a show to come back with. Get clean in January cos February is gonna be a banger!
Who's on then eh? EH?!
Well calm down and we'll tell you...
JAMES MEEHAN
One third of Gein's Family Giftshop and one whole of James 'excellent comedian' Meehan. After great success at last year's Fringe with his show 'Class Act' (★★★★★ - EdFest Mag) James is back with some new stuff and we are very excited to see it. You should be too!
JIM ALSBALSTIAN'S HUMAN ZOO
This sketch duo came to us in a dream. Or possibly facebook messenger. They are hilarious and daft as owt. Looking forward to seeing their nonsense skits on the Sham Bodie stage. Definitely a future favourite!
SAM JENKINS
Handsome troubadour Sam Jenkins is the lead singer of Manchester band GLASS TIDES but will be turning his talented hand(s) to stand up comedy for tonight. Is there nothing he can't or won't do? No, there is nothing. Nothing. He is the best.
SOUTH ISLAND SON
We're super chuffed to have this Manchester supergroup play for us before they jet off on a UK tour. They released debut single One Year at Sea late last year (have a look here pal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejd8pFDyftY it's dead good) and we were blown away so immediately asked them to play our living room. It's probably better that they're playing Soup Kitchen. More space. See em now before it costs a bajillion pounds to have them play in your living room!
BLIND DATE
Well, it is Valentine's Day (nearly) isn't it. And what Valentine's Sham Bodie would be complete without a shameless rip off of the 80s/90s Saturday night classic Blind Date. If you want to get involved with Blind Date on the night then do get in touch as we're looking for contestants.
Also FREE HOT DOGS! We don't mention that enough. They really are worth the price of admission alone. Which is only a fiver. What a steal. FIVE POUNDS FOR ALL THIS FUN.
Oh and if you can't make it, be a love and vote for us in the What's On Manchester #CityLifeAwards here: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/comedy-news/citylife-awards-2016-best-comedy-12329437as recompense.
