Event information

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Steve to his first appearance at Acoustic Roots. He is celebrating 45 years in the music business and he’s on fine form as ever: awarded Male Vocalist of the Year in 2015 by Fatea magazine for example. His latest solo CD, Truth To Tell, earned accolades from media and fans alike (The Guardian 4 stars, R2 5 stars), and made it onto fROOTS album choice and The Telegraph’s top 100 folk albums of 2015. He’s also just released The Janus Game with fellow songwriter Jez Lowe, an album of brand new co-writes, marking a fruitful collaboration.
He’s appeared live in session on Mark Radcliffe’s Folk Show and Bob Harris Sunday as well as TV appearances on Later with Jools Holland and BBC Four Songwriters’ Circle. He’s also published a novel, All for Poor Jack, which is a mighty good read and has been enjoyed by Bob Dylan no less!

Steve will be supported on the night by Paul McClure, a Rutland based singer-songwriter, whose influences include Elliott Smith, Ron Sexsmith and Rufus Wainwright. More details can be found at www.paulmccluremusic.com
