Delighted to welcome a solo Meursault to the Eagle Inn! Neil will be supported by psychedelic label mates Lush Purr, and local folktronica chap KITS.

MEURSAULT
Meursault is a creative offspring of Edinburgh\'s champion of “epic lo-fi” Neil Pennycook, who describes it as “a solo project with a revolving cast of friends/musicians”. Since their debut release in 2008, they made appearances at major music festivals (SXSW, Glastonbury, T in the Park, End of the Road) and received critical praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Drowned in Sound, The Skinny and The Line of Best Fit. In 2013, Meursault\'s third album, Something for the Weakened, was nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) award. After a break of three years performing under the moniker of Supermoon, Neil Pennycook returned to Meursault with a new LP I Will Kill Again released via Song, By Toad in February 2017.

LUSH PURR
Born from the smouldering ashes of Glasgow psychedelic indie punks The Yawns, Lush Purr feature the songwriting talents of Gavin Will, rhythm section all-stars Emma Smith and Rikki Will, and guitar/synth wizardry of Oreste Fazio. Gently humorous, melancholic and adventurous, they swing from lo-fi jangly pop to full-on psychedelic fuzz. Nominated for Best Newcomer prize at last year\'s Scottish Alternative Music Awards, the band are releasing a remixed/remastered version of their debut Cuckoo Waltz in May 2017.

KITS
KITS is the Manchester-based one-man folktronica project of Jayson Turner. KITS combines a laptop with melodic heartbreak-fuelled vocals. Since releasing his first single in 2013, KITS has played shows across the UK and received air play on BBC 6 Music. Jayson has his debut EP penned for 2017 to be released on Zzz! Recordings.
