Meet the birds of Abney Park!
They laugh, they drum, they make holes in trees: come to Abney Park and look (and listen) for woodpeckers; for the smallest bird in Europe (3.5 cm long); and for birds that visit us for the summer.
Join us for an interactive and informative workshop, led by Andrew Peel of London RSPB and the Marylebone Birdwatching Society.
Start with an art/craft session to make the birds that we are looking for (you can take your art home), and listen to their songs and calls. Then take a walk to look for woodpeckers, goldcrests, warblers and the other wildlife of Abney.
The walk is for children aged 6-12 years, who must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian. (Free for adults)
There is a maximum of 10 children on each walk and workshop.
Sunday 21st May, 10 am - 11:30 am
Meet at the main gates on Stoke Newington High St, N16 0LH
If sold out please contact Abney Park - further workshops can be run.
