Event information
This Glasgow-based band have been described as \"the quirky new heroes of the British psych-folk scene\". Well known for their collaboration with the Incredible String Band founder Mike Heron, they have also taken influence from British folk songs, Americana and free improvisation. Someone else\'s attempt to sum them up came up with \"Like a faintly unhinged take on Fairport Convention or Fotheringay with soaring uplifting Sandy Denny style vocals that occasionally give way to deranged passages of feedback and clattering percussion\".
Stuart Maconie, BBC 6 Music, described their music as \"wild and romantic, witty and heart breaking\", saying that \"It has both the charm of folk music and the power of rock\".
