5K HD

...is a new Austrian super-group comprised of renowned jazz quartet Kompost 3 and Mira Lu Kovacs, the celebrated singer and front-woman of the critically acclaimed band Schmieds Puls who played a triumphant sell-out show at SJQ last year.
They have hit the ground running with their debut album, “And To In A”, released in September 2017, instantly shooting to the top of the Austrian iTunes jazz charts. In their home country, “And To In A” has been named as one of the albums of the year with its seamless blend of jazz, pop, electro-acoustic composition and experimentation. 5K HD manage to be at the cutting edge and right on the bullseye at the same time. These five musicians, virtuosic in their abilities and unique in their artistic approaches, create a completely distinctive sound that will take your breath away. And you will gladly let them.

Martin Eberle – Trumpet
Manu Mayr – Bass

STERGIN

The Austrian born producer, songwriter and performer recently released his debut EP featuring drummer Adam Betts via NAIM Records. His music blends electronics, treated found sounds with classical and rock elements. Past projects include his Monday Evening Bathroom Sessions where he covered the #12 of the US Billboard charts for 12 weeks or turned newspaper articles into songs. His current project 12 PHOTOS 12 TRACKS is inspired by the global journey of a camera through 12 different countries.

“This is a record that you just couldn’t have heard five years ago. It’s completely in the now, in the moment trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible and what can be done.“ (Tom Robinson, 6Music)

“Oddly infectious, the sheer alien nature of the sound is allied to a whimsical pop touch that truly gets under the skin.” (Robin Murray – Clash Magazine)
