Following last year’s release of her Maida Vale recorded session for BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction, London-born alt folk singer-songwriter and guitarist ANA SILVERA will be touring songs from her upcoming album: folk and bluegrass-tinged tunes, lyrical, intimate and emotive, described as works of ‘lavish, vivid imagination’ (Metro), the stories draw from her own eventful life as well as folklore and myth. In the past few years, Ana’s focus has been on large scale projects: a full-length work for the Royal Ballet and a choral song cycle at London\'s The Roundhouse. Ana will be accompanying herself on piano, guitar, ukulele, harmonium and kalimba, and duetting with the Danish melodic bassist, Jasper Høiby.
Bassist JASPER HØIBY attended the Royal Academy of Music in 2000 and settled in the UK, where he plays regularly with the likes of Django Bates, Julian Joseph, and his own group Fellow Creatures.
Refreshment is available.
