The State-Electronica and ferocious punkosityThe State fuse industrial, rock, and post-punk into a dark and tortured alarm as a reaction to the current political and social climate. Taking their cue from bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, The Cure and Gary Numan, The State interweave heavy driven guitars with synths and samples to create a rich and varied tapestry Carpel-Beguiling stripped down Folktronica, rendered on real instruments, samples and found sounds, understated but very compelling
