This concert features more than 100 members of Dartford Township Choir (DTC) led by Ken Burton, the UK’s leading gospel artist, arranger, and music director. He is conductor of the Croydon SDA Gospel Choir, whose album The Very Best of Gospel and appearances on Eastenders and Flashmob Opera have received wide acclaim. Ken has performed on TV programmes such as the X-Factor, Ant and Dec, This Morning, Songs of Praise, Later with Jools Holland, and Britain\'s Got Talent. He has also worked alongside well-known personalities as a judge on radio and TV, including BBC’s Choir of the Year.
The concert will also feature members of the internationally acclaimed London Adventist Chorale, previous winners of Choir of the Year, and UK Gospel Choir of the Year. It was formed in 1981 and has been directed by Ken Burton since 1990. The Chorale is probably best known for performing a-cappella African-American spirituals. It has sung around the world in venues including Sydney Opera House and the Toronto Sky Dome, and has performed several times before dignitaries such as the Queen and former US president Bill Clinton.
