The Oxford University Gilbert and Sullivan Society presents THE MIKADO, at the Corpus Christi Auditorium on the 6th and 9th March 2018.

Filled to the brim with girlish glee
Three little maids from school!”

In a village called Titipu, an undercover prince poses as a travelling minstrel to win the affections of schoolgirl Yum-Yum. Nanki-Pu withstands the opposition of a heartless bureaucracy and the odious scheming of elderly Katisha to steal his bride from Ko-Ko, Titipu’s Lord High Executioner.

Josephine Korda updates this nineteenth century comic opera with the help of a wardrobe straight from the set of Austin Powers.
