Event information

Faith & Industry presents:

Thomas Nation is the new project from Blue House singer James Howard, and sees him turn his playful songwriting to the land mass commonly known as Great Britain. His album, Battle of the Grumbles, was recorded over 4 days to 8-track tape machine at John Johanna\'s Norfolk studio. It will be released via Faith & Industry digitally and on a small run of cassette tapes, first available at the show. Thomas Nation will play songs from the album backed by a group put together for the night, The Worry Men.

John Johanna is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. His eclectic output uses psychedelia and oriental tonalities, primal gospel blues and folk – among other ingredients – to create a body of diverse yet coherent devotional music. Recent acolytes to his music include Orlando Weeks (Maccabees) and Lauren Laverne.

Seafoxes play folk-inspired dream pop spun around intricate vocal and violin harmonies. Based in Docklands, East London, their debut album ‘It’s probably nothing, but…’ (2016) focuses on contemporary social issues. More recently, the band has tuned their radar to outer space.
