THE FUZILLIS.... one word instr-o-mentals, rowdy saxes, raunchy guitars, and a wallet full of atomic age twist and grind a go-go tunes.
A four man tag team featuring the atomic powered geetar twang of Dan Martin Jr, the rootin\' tootin tenor sax tones of T-Mag Maguire, the thunderous jungle rhythms of W J Oake III and the boss of the bass, Mr Frankie Fuzilli.
Where Link Wray and Las Vegas Grind collide with Grady Gaines\' Upsetters and The Fabulous Wailers by way of Nick Curran and Spike Jones
The Fuzillis... atomic age raunch\'n\'roll with a twist... you\'ll dance till your toes bleed.
Ungawa, baby... UNGAWA!
YE NUNS - launch their new single on
“All female Monks tribute band Ye Nuns are fantastic. Way better than any obsolescent nu-garage rock revolution group I’ve ever seen.” The Quietus
On paper, Ye Nuns are a tribute band. An all-girl celebration of The Monks, proto-krautrock garage punkers formed by a gang of American GIs stationed in Germany who legendarily sported tonsures and nooses on stage. But Ye Nuns are more than a tribute band.
Formed by seven London ladies in 2006, Ye Nuns send witchy, six-part harmonies crashing over scratchy guitars, layer on evil fuzz bass and add pounding drums. Lead vocals screech and soar. Electric banjo hacks relentlessly. Vintage keyboard sounds stab. Yet it’s still music that puts grins on faces and gets feet moving.
In an arena where youth is often prized above talent, a band of seven women north of 40 is virtually unprecedented. Their experience and assured poise shines through on stage. There’s no need for faux-sexy posing or cute apologetic stylings. Members’ other bands include Curve, Mambo Taxi, Thee Headcoatees, Gay Dad, The A-Lines, Echobelly, Joanne Joanne, The Phantom Pregnancies and The Priscillas to name about one tenth.
“I love watching Ye Nuns! It was fun watching you guys do this! I love Ye Nuns!” Eddie Shaw (original member of The Monks)
THEE DAGGER DEBS are three girls brought together by their love of 60s garage and British R’n’B, pub rock and proto punk. The Pirates (with Johnny Kidd and without), Eddie and the Hot Rods, Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, Hurriganes, Count Bishops, MC5, Thin Lizzy, Slade and The Stranglers -to name a few- always feature heavily in their record boxes.
Laura and Letty have been playing together since 2011, first in The Neasden Bees and then Thee Jezebels, and since the autumn of 2016, they developed their ultimate line-up with Paula in Thee Dagger Debs, an all girl pub-rock power trio. The girls have shared the stage with bands such as Johnny Moped, The Masonics, The Wildebeests, Graham Day and the Forefathers, Giuda and their beloved Los Chicos, and have built up a following both in the UK and across Europe, renowned for their sweaty, high-energy rock ‘n’ roll gigs, followed by happily propping up the bar and dancing ‘til dawn.
After the release of a single and a follow up E.P on State records, they have their debut album out soon on Damaged Goods, produced by none other than the legendary Mr. Mike Mariconda himself.
