A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE/HEAR THESE FIVE AMAZING PERFORMERS IN AN INFORMAL CONCERT SETTING.

Steve Conway's first taste of musical success came with the legendary" Bob Johnson and The Bob Cats" who heard Steve play with his father's outfit "The J.J.Conway Band". Bob Johnson had a new band called "Bush Country" This was the most progressive Country Rock band in the country at the time and recorded their only album at "Chapel Music Recording Studio" in London ( where "The Beatles" recorded)
Steve then joined the very successful country band "West Coast" who appeared at Wembley Festival with the likes of Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. other bands followed "Busted Arrow" " Cinnamon Bill He then teamed up With his younger brother Martin Conway and formed "Kickin The Dust" The band split after a few years but Steve and Martin spent the next few years playing out in the "Middle East" as a duo. Steve's talent as a musician had reached far and wide, sessions followed with Ken Nicol ("The Albion Band", "Steeleye Span") Steve is also a prolific song writer and has many credits with the U.K's top Americana bands 'Buchanan' and "Red Moon Joe" However, the strongest bond always remained with his brother Martin and a song writing partnership had always been present. Always on the cards, the Conway Brothers wanted to put together a band of like minded players

Stan Mansfield is probably the most recognised bass player in the north of England and always 1st choice. From a musical family, Stan did his first gig in 1975 and has honed his craft ever since. Stan was head hunted by Preston's top Rock Band "Dennis Delight" in 1979. Other Preston bands "Rubilazer" and "The Steve Hesketh Blues Band"secured Stan's talents and eventually led to Stan joining "The Ken Nicol Band " featuring Steve Conway on Pedal Steel Guitar. Stan has always been in demand as a bass player and he has secured many sessions including the wonderful "Trudi Hide" at "Ronnie Scott's. At present Stan also has his own band "The Champagne Nippers" Stan has been friends with "The Conway Brothers since the late 70s

Martin Conway has been playing guitar and bass, writing and singing songs for over 40 years. His versatility gained him a lot of respect amongst his peers and he has always been the "go to" guy if a band needed a session player. Martin's early playing career started when he turned professional at the age of 18 with the great folk singer "Brian Dewhurst" After 6 years of touring the U.K. Europe and United Arab Emirates, Martin decided to get a real job but it didn't last long, he teamed up with big brother Steve and hit the road again. After several stints in the U.A.E. and touring up and down the country Steve and Martin embarked on some solo projects but often talked about putting a band together covering some of their favourite material and some of their own songs. Martin was recently a finalist in the" Western Writers Of America" with his song "The Lonesome Cowboy" and also wrote a novel by the same title. Steve and Martin had not played in the same band for about 12 years, until now. Trying to come up with a good name for a band has always been difficult, apart from this one!

The Fantastic Liam Barber on Drums.
One of this country's top players. Past credits include the legendary "Tony Thorpe" who was the superbly talented guitarist with "The Rubettes" due to Liam's hectic touring schedule Tony had to wait for nearly a year for Liam to become available and then proceeded to tour the country for the next five years, Liam then went on to join "Slack Alice" One of the north's most revered rock bands until the sudden death of the enigmatic and soulful lead singer " Cliff Stocker" Liam decided to take some time out, but an accidental meeting in a hospital waiting room with Martin conway is where the seed was planted and a few years later, when the time was right, Liam Barber got a call from Martin Conway and the band was on

Warren Conway, Brother from another Mother, when this man plays guitar, there is nothing wasted! Warren has been involved in the music industry since he was in his early teens, guided by his father David, he embarked on a solo career and made a massive breakthrough as one of the U.K's most successful solo Country performers. He is also recognised as an outstanding studio producer and a chance meeting at a recording session is where he bumped into 'The Conway Brothers' and a mutual love of Bloodshot Americana Country Music turned into a real friendship
