Tania Hershman is a renowned writer and teacher of flash fiction - the art of writing super short stories. In this two-hour workshop you will explore examples of what flash fiction might be, from 1000 down to 100 words, and write your own stories, taking inspiration from many sources. Workshop participants will leave with drafts of at least 3 flash stories by the end of the evening!
Tania Hershman is the author of three collections of short stories and flash fictions, the most recent of which, Some Of Us Glow More Than Others, was published by Unthank Books in May 2017. Her debut poetry collection, Terms & Conditions, was published by Nine Arches Press in July 2017. Tania is also the author of a poetry chapbook and co-author of Writing Short Stories: A Writers\' & Artists\' Companion (Bloomsbury, 2014). Tania is curator of short story hub ShortStops (www.shortstops.info), celebrating short story activity across the UK & Ireland, and has a PhD in creative writing inspired by particle physics.
