East Nashville based songster & friend of J’Hot Club Otis Gibbs returns as part of a special short UK tour (of his favourite places in UK). Last seen out with Dan Baird’s Homemade Sin it’s a big welcome back to geordie’land for this wonderful singer/songwriter. Otis Gibbs was raised in Wanamaker, Indiana, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Indianapolis. He is one of the most authentic writers going, his gritty subject matter and command of the stage make him one of the best storytellers of the folk idiom of the last thirty odd years. Never afraid of taking the side of the downtrodden, Otis style is somewhere between Utah Phillips, Woody Guthrie and Billy Bragg.
