The Pigeon Swing have arguably to most prestigious CV of English Ceilidh bands in the country - it's line-up consists of Dan Quinn (melodeons, formally a member of Flowers & Frolics, Gas Mark 5 etc.), Martin Brinsford (harmonica and feet, member of The Old Swan Band, Brass Monkey etc.), Paul Burgess (fiddle, member of The Old Swan Band and formerly The English Country Dance Band etc.), Ian Kearey (bass guitar, member of Duck Soup and formerly The Oyster Band) and Tim Normanton (banjo, member of Grand Union and formerly of Housewives’ Choice).

Caller Baz Parkes has been at the Borough Hall numerous times in the past, usually to call with All Blacked Up. His extensive portfolio of dances is English through and through but, on this occasion, they will be danced to The Pigeon Swing's repertoire of French Canadian tunes, culled from recordings and transcripts of the old players, but played in the style of English ceilidh dancing.
