Sad House Daddy presents MG Boulter and Elaine Palmer at The Harrison, a special double headline show by the two singer-songwriters as part of their February U.K. tour to celebrate the release of their brand new EPs. Advance tickets are £10.
8:15pm MG BOULTER
Matthew Boulter is a songwriter and musician who currently lives on the Thames coast in England. Releasing music under the name M G Boulter, his debut album was 2013's "The Water Or The Wave" and his second album was listed as one of the ‘Best Folk Albums of 2016’ by the Daily Telegraph ("With Wolves the Lamb Will Lie"). Matthew has also been a member of Blue Rose Code, Emily Portman’s Coracle Band and The Lucky Strikes and was a touring member of U.S. groups The Duke And The King and The Simone Felice Group. A highly proficient pedal and lap-steel player, he is much sought after on the U.K. Americana circuit; something that led to him being invited to play with New York songwriter Simone Felice. Since accompanying Felice on various dates - including a prestigious Green Man Festival headline set in 2011 - Matthew has become a full member of The Simone Felice Band, touring the U.S. and U.K. while also opening shows as a solo performer. Despite this impressive workload, Matthew has continued to lend his many skills to shows and recordings by the likes of Cusack, Deer Park, Dead Flowers, Neil McSweeney, Rosalie Deighton, Conor Oberst and members of Mumford & Sons. 2018 saw the release of the "Blood Moon" EP by Boulter and Birmingham string quartet The Froe, recorded at the Fishermen’s Chapel by the Thames Estuary in Essex.

9:20pm ELAINE PALMER
Elaine Palmer hails from a sleepy village up on the North Yorkshire Moors, close to Whitby. Elaine surrounded herself by music growing up, singing and playing both the piano and guitar. Inspiral Carpets' Clint Boon invited Elaine to record at his home studio after seeing her play live, resulting in her debut album, 2003's "Into The Spotlight". She continued to tour extensively, performing with a host of successful artists including Paolo Nutini, KT Tunstall, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, David Gray and Ryan Adams. Elaine's music has been played on BBC Radio 2 by the legendary DJ and presenter Bob Harris and received fantastic reviews from MOJO, Uncut Magazine, Maverick Magazine and R2 (Rock'n'Reel) Magazine for her second album, "Waves" (2006). Elaine released a live studio album in 2014, "Fire and Flames", followed by 2016's "Show Me The Way" (featuring Tom Fletcher from Hyde & Beast and Luke Evans from Young Rebel Set). "Still Life" is the latest of Elaine's albums, released in 2017 on Mill House Records and seeing her playing electric guitar with a full band as well as featuring intimate solo pieces on piano and nylon guitar.
