Basement Club are a 4 piece indie band from Swindon with similar sounds to Bombay Bicycle Club, JAWS and The Night Cafe.

Talk In Code
What started with more Americana-type acoustic foundations, later transformed into the amp’d-up thumping indie you hear today marking the evolution of Talk In Code. The name is derived from the idea that everyone relates to songs
differently, having their very own meaning to cherish. Supported by carefully crafted shimmering soundscapes and delivered with soaring vocals, lyrical themes have a sense of mystery intact staying true to the name.

Residing near the heart of the South West in the UK, making up the quartet are Chris Stevens (vocals & guitars), Al Sneddon (guitars, keys
& programming), Mark Turner (bass, keys & programming) and Jamie O’Sullivan (drums) - all bringing their many influences to the table delivering the sound you hear today.

TIC don’t sight whole collections of any one artists work as influences, yes they have their favourites but it’smore individual songs that carry weight from way back to present day chart toppers!

Recorded by Geoff Swan (Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Haim), the band’s debut album didn’t take long to attract some heat being featured by Q Music’s Track Of The Day alongside Green Man Publications and Record Of The Day – a
blog for the music industry. In addition TIC have been well supported by various radio stations up anddown the UK most , notably BBC Introducing.

Such attention has served as a vehicle to progress on the live circuit where the band have played alongside acts such as Catfish & The Bottlemen, My Life Story, Embrace and Toploader through to 80’s sensations Marc Almond, Howard Jones and Go West! f estival appearances at Walled Garden, Jurassic Fields, Lechlade, Osfest and Wychwood have added to their ever-growing profile too. With a buzz around things,new songs on the way and plans to tour in different continents
