For the final time Gary Parsons will give his talk British Witchcraft Documentaries of the 1970’s as a special one off event for Helgi’s Bar.
The talk looks at several films made before 1976 that discuss the re-emergence of witchcraft within the British Psyche. The films feature, King of the Witches, Alex Sanders and take us on a journey through the media perception of witchcraft in the late 60’s and early 70’s including a detour about British rock band Black Widow.
Gary is a film maker and film graduate from Goldsmiths College London.
Tonight’s talk will be followed by a very rare screening of the European print of the documentary ‘Witchcraft 70’ known as ‘Angeli Bianchi..Angeli Neri’.
