The Small Wonders – All covers, and all class covers at that, named fitfully after the classic indie punk label these Small Wonders play killer diller cuts by Joy Division , Buzzcocks , The Clash , Kaiser Chiefs and more more more . And in their earlier indie bands (sssh, no names, no pack drill) these boyos played the Castle a lot in the 1990s . Very much makes sense, that’s how they are so very honed and good at what they do.
Cherry And Peesh – Punk n Poetry brought together arising from the solo original acoustic work of Peesh Logoz and the provocative burlesque, political poetry of Cherry B…it’s a great combination, got a modicum of folksy indie pop charm, but plenty of grit and guts.
00000000- Some people said this lot would amount to nothing- arf. OK well they’re certainly something, something pretty impressive at that- with noisy art rock cum post punk featuring forceful, artful female vocals and a wayward twisty turny experimental feel. Interesting…a bit Kristin Hersch like maybe, or a more leftfield Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Remind me of Ut actually…and Jefferson Airplane meets Siouxsie allowing the acid free reign.
DJs We Got Killers – Spinning punk, new wave, indie, soul, rocknroll, hiphop, all bangers no clangers.
