Opera singer Ann Liebeck brings us a programme of Gypsy Jazz tango music, with:
Tango maestro Julian Rowlands on bandoneon and piano
and Rory Dempsey on double bass.

This London-based trio delves deeper into the European influences on Argentinian tango with an eclectic and popular programme with a Gypsy jazz twist. They perform the music of Romanian Gypsy Jazz diva Maria Tanassi, Russian tango star Pyotr Leschenko and the ultimate popular singer Edith Piaf. Ann returns to her operetta roots with popular arias with a gypsy flavour by Lehar and Kalman.

The artists are prominent in the Latin Music scene in the UK, especially for their performances of Tango music and headlined a new Festival at London’s South Bank Centre in July 2018.
