a pre-European tour date by special request at The Greys.
Lavinia Blackwall, a singer and composer based in Glasgow, a former member of Trembling Bells and has collaborated with Mike Heron (touring his Incredible String Band repertoire) Kaleidoscope, Nick Garrie and Will 'Bonnie Prince Billie' Oldham.
She is currently working as a co-writer, singer and instrumentalist with Stilton(*) and as a solo artist. With a BBC Radio 6 Music Mark Riley session already broadcast, her first single received plenty of airplay, a second about to be released, Lavinia is working on her eagerly anticipated first solo album which will be released in late 2019.
*the band Stilton include Marco Rea ( The Wellgreen, Euros Childs) and Jim McGoldrick (The Wellgreen) and Seb Jonsen (Helicon and The Tomorrow Syndicate).
Opening on this tour, a fellow Trembling Bells player, Mike Hastings & Solveig Askvik, key players in the Glasgow Psyche folk scene for the past decade or so, playing in the Mike Heron Band, Trembling Bells, Lucky Luke and The Pendulums. Mike's intricate fingerpicked guitar interweaves with Solveig's sliding fiddle lines in finely crafted tales, recalling the best of the Scottish folk tradition.
