Following on from their previous productions of Closer and Disco Pigs, Purple Penguin present "The Open Couple" by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, an insightful and hilarious farce that provides a window into the sometimes hysterical world of married life.

When a philandering husband openly encourages his wife to be unfaithful to him so that he can stray without scruple, she thinks that only suicide can provide the answer. But after numerous failed attempts, she realises that things may not be as tragic as she first thought.

Filled with sallies and surprises, The Open Couple is more than a play about promiscuity - it is an outright "fight back" by modern wives.
