Here's the next Des Was A Bowie Fan gig night at the Dalston Victoria, launching South London's ace feminist post-punks I, Doris and Bristol indiepop stars The Total Rejection and Arrest Charlie Tipper into the heart of Saturday night.
I, Doris are a band of Dorises, 1, 2, 3 & 4 playing shit-kicking feminist disco punk pitched between Helen Love and the riot grrrls. Their recent ace take on Squeeze's 'Up the Junction' was released in March in aid of Women's Aid.

The Total Rejection are a sweet Pop adrenaline-rush, '60s psych and rock'n'roll flourishes and a tear-it-up shimmer throwing them two wheels round the bend. Their new LP 'Everybody Knows What You Don't Know' comes out in August on Raving Pop Blast Recordings.

Arrest! Charlie Tipper (Formerly The Charlie Tipper Conspiracy) are an indiepop band with a roaring jangle and skewering keys and horns, creating their own cuttingly romantic, melancholy sound in the vein of The June Brides. They formed in 2013 as The Charlie Tipper Experiment, releasing an album and accompanying singles, including the ace ‘Ride Out’, via Breaking Down Recordings. A further two EPs full of the sweet stuff and the a cover of 'Femme Fatale' with John Peel favourite Helen McCookerybook followed as part of the new Conspiracy. The band’s latest EP 'Freedom of Speach' came out in May.
