The ‘James Royal’ Ealing Club Reunion

James Royal hailed from South Ealing and became a regular performer at the legendary basement bar where so many musicians headed to experience the sounds of the new London ‘R & B’ movement of the early 60’s.

His vocal prowess led to recording contracts that led to the creation of momentous tracks such as ‘House of Jack’ and ‘Call My Name’.

James now resides in Australia but thanks to a short visit back to London we have been able to bring together an impromptu performance that will be led by James and a growing line up of backing musicians.

On drums we have Richard Hudson formerly of the Strawbs and on the bass, a founding member of Deep Purple Nick Simper. Terry Marshall is set to complement this venerable line-up on sax.
