Originally from Bettyhill, on the far North Coast of Scotland, Catherine was a bagpipe player and traditional Gaelic singer before switching to writing in English, developing a uniquely experimental approach to songwriting and arrangements. Her debut album 'The Mobius Kiss' combines contemporary digital instruments such as the Roli Seaboard with unorthodox harmonies, traditional folk-style melodies and unsettling modern lyrics which explore the wonder, weirdness and melancholy in the everyday.
She is a winner of the Burnsong Award for songwriting and has been picked by BBC3's The Late Junction as 'One to Watch' for 2019.

Immersing audiences in an enchanting and entertaining journey of theatre, hip-jazz and performance poetry, Camilla threads together charismatic chanson, fairytale-folk and evocative popera. Each performance is a balance of sensual ballads decorated with her classical guitar roots, and entertaining autobiographical ditties to which everyone can relate; either un-plugged and pared down, or atmospherically mixed up in a loop-station.
