The Glasgow Phoenix Choir is delighted to be performing a concert in aid of Rotary Charities in St Michael’s Parish Church in aid of international good causes.
Rotary was formed in Chicago in 1905 by Paul Harris with the aim of allowing professionals to work together to give something back to their communities. Rotary is dedicated to six areas of focus to build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support peace efforts and end polio forever.
The Glasgow Phoenix Choir rose out of the ashes of the world-famous Glasgow Orpheus Choir and this year celebrates 118 years of choral excellence – 68 years as the Glasgow Phoenix Choir and 50 years as the Glasgow Orpheus Choir. Although not a stranger to our Linlithgow concerts, our former Accompanist and Depute Conductor Cameron Murdoch has taken up the baton as our new conductor.
