Krzysztof Urbanski heads back to Jazz Café POSK with his stellar quintet for a high-altitude evening of expressive jazz, previewing music from his soon-to-be released 3rd album.
Polish born Krzysztof Urbanski is a Multiple Award Winner Jazz Saxophonist and recommended by The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz.
In 2012 Krzysztof was selected to the live audition at The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Los Angeles California (USA) and was credited as one of the most interesting saxophone voices in his generation.
Krzysztof’s current band was formed in 2016 and his goal was to find musicians open to creating fresh and original sounds within a quintet framework.
For his third, soon to be release album, Krzysztof Urbanski presents an acoustic sound that naturally blends melodic rhapsody, rhythmic structures within the tradition of jazz, world and classical music.
