The remarkable rise of BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners Trials of Cato on the UK folk scene has been the subject of massive critical attention. Dubbed " The Sex Pistols of folk " ( J.Davis ) they pay clear homage to the tradition while twisting old bones into something febrile and modern with stomping tunes and captivating stories.
Following a year of constant touring across the UK, Europe and Nth America in 2019 the bands march was halted by the global pandemic but they've emerged from their chrysalis transformed. As ever, The Trials Continue but this time the multi talented instrumentalist and singer Polly Bolton joins their ranks.
