Joe Henderson was one of the great jazz saxophone players having recorded on the Verve and Milestone record labels and most prominently appearing on nearly 30 albums for Blue Note including a brief appearance with the Miles Davis quintet.

Accomplished jazz composer and reed man Kelvin Christiane has put together an all-star quintet paying homage to this great musician. Following a number of successful live sessions, the group have recorded a CD “Joy of Joe” and a selection of some of the great man’s career-spanning treasures will be performed for this special event.
