The first Clerkenville East-West of 2020 featuring Wolf person Dan Davies and electrifying Kentish folk rockers Green Diesel. Just £6 in advance and £7 on the door.
Hailing from Faversham in Kent, GREEN DIESEL first emerged in 2009, taking their inspiration from the depths of English folklore and legend. Blending violin, mandolin, dulcimer and accordion with electric guitars and drums, their sound is borne from a love of traditional English music and the classic folk rock sound of their predecessors Fairport Convention and The Albion Band. Performing original compositions, steeped in local myths, alongside inventive reworkings of traditional songs and tunes, the band have built up a reputation as a fearsome live act.

Bassist with awesome Brit psychedelic/ blues rockers Wolf People, DAN DAVIES has been working away, recording solo material that is sure to be among the early highlights of the New Year. Just completed debut album 'Brick Lane Sunday' is replete with beguiling melodies, hushed vocals, finger picked guitar, piano and trumpet - a very English, gently melancholic, psych folk lying somewhere between Ray Davies' Village Green and Spiritualized in their more quietly blissed-out moments. Let's hope it sees the light of day soon as, word is, Dan is already moving on to record new material!
