Three international masters of World music come together to perform a unique programme of klezmer, Yiddish song with added Hungarian, Russian and Roma flavours. They will perform traditional and original material. Witness this unique music making process and join in with some singing and dancing.

Jake Shulman-Ment – violin. New York
Born in New York City, violinist Jake Shulman-Ment is at the helm of a new generation of Klezmer and Yiddish music performers. He tours and records internationally. He was featured in Csaba Bereczki's full-lenth documentary film Soul Exodus, and performed on screen in HBO's Succession and Martin Scorcese's The Irishman. A widely sought-out teacher of the klezmer fiddle tradition. He collected, studied, performed, and documented traditional music in Romania as a Fulbright scholar, and has lived and travelled in Hungary and Greece, learning traditional violin styles. https://www.jakeshulmanment.com/
Francesca Ter-Berg – cello, vocals. London
Francesca Ter-Berg is a multi-disciplinary artist. Known for her unique cello playing style, she is a specialist in Klezmer music, a songwriter, composer, ethnographer and improviser. Francesca performs with critically acclaimed duo Fran & Flora and produces film scores and site-specific installation works. As a collaborator and improviser Francesca has toured and recorded nationally and internationally. She is a specialist in Klezmer and Roma music, which she has studied for over 10 years with some of the top worlds experts. Polina Shepherd - voice, piano. Brighton, originally Kazan, Russia
Performer, composer, choir leader, music activist. At the start of her professional journey, she played with Russia's first klezmer band after Perestroika, Simcha (1990-2000), eventually developing her own Yiddish projects. Since moving to the UK in 2004, she has toured and taught internationally as a solo artist and also collaborating with various bands, choirs, musicians, mostly working on traditional and newly composed Yiddish and Russian material of all shapes and forms. About 100 compositions including music for theatre shows, large scale choir compositions, settings for Yiddish poems are performed by soloists and choirs all over the world. https://www.polinashepherd.co.uk/
