They are not whisperers, but like good witches of pagan mythology, Karolina Micor and Małgorzata Janek are two musically educated enchanters who have the gift of healing and transforming whispers into musical spells. Their work is full of folk references and inspirations, fusing modern sounds far beyond musical classifications. If one wanted to try to define their musical space, one would have to reach for an eclectic sonic hybrid: a spiritual ethno-Slavic jazzing soul. Although inspiration comes from Slavic sources, elves, pixies and unicorns from every land will feel safe and lulled with tranquil sounds drifting their way into pastoral gardens covered with red poppies and luscious ferns.
The music of Wild Whispers displays earth colours - an impressionistic palette in shades of red and brown, with aromas of herbs and the scent of ritual candles and incense. These sounds are a bouquet of flavours of a refined mousse made of ripe, juicy and sweet apple sprinkled with ground bitter cocoa beans. A "soundtrack" to the poetic works of the great romantics.
As a special feature of the evening’s event, the Wild Whispers have invited classical & jazz pianist & composer, Alberto L. Ferro who will present a programme of Chopin & Jazz, marking the composer’s 210th anniversary of birth. Throughout the evening Alberto will perform specially prepared jazz interpretations of Chopin’s works, solo and with the band, and with vocal improvisations from the Wild Whispers.
This will be a mesmerising & captivating evening of exceptional music…NOT TO BE MISSED!
