David Eagle & Paul ‘Silky’ White

The first tour combining two exceptional talents: where hilarious music meets soul-stirring, heartbreaking comedy, with the emphasis firmly on making the audience howl with laughter. Sparkling minds and blurring fingers, no two shows are the same. Have a night in brilliant company.

Since 2005, David Eagle has been a member of three-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning band The Young’uns. Well-known for their comedy, the Guardian wrote in their 5* review “rampant humour which occasionally makes them appear more like standup comedians, mercilessly mocking one another and involving the audience at every turn... The Young’uns were bravely emotional but also very funny, thanks to the constant banter from Eagle”

David is blind, and his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs, such as his
George Formby parody, described by the Guardian as “a comic tour de force.

Much to his parent’s pride, Silky left behind a degree in Evolutionary Genetics to swear at strangers for money, mostly indoors and with a guitar around his neck. He followed his dream, but it called the cops on him. He is a triple threat: comedian, musician, improviser. Not much of a dancer, but he is genuinely learning Welsh and after over 25 years on the international comedy circuit, he is one of the safest pairs of hands in the business.
